how we price
Every trip we plan is priced for you, because the cost depends on your dates, group size, route and where you want to sleep. That is why our prices are on request for now. Send us your plans and we will reply with an itemised quote. To make that conversation easier, we group our trips into three travel styles. The parks, the wildlife and the care from your guide stay the same. What changes is the accommodation and some of the extras.
Budget
Great for travellers who care most about time in the parks. You still travel in a safari vehicle with a professional driver-guide, but sleep simply so more of your budget goes on the experience itself.
Where you stay: Campsites with dome tents, or simple guesthouses and lodges outside the park gates.
Suits: Backpackers, students, adventurous couples and groups of friends.

Mid-range
Our most popular style. Comfortable rooms or tents with private bathrooms, good food and locations that keep driving times sensible, so you have more time for game drives.
Where you stay: Tented camps and lodges, many inside or close to the parks, with en-suite rooms.
Suits: Most first-time safari travellers, families and honeymooners.

Luxury
For a special trip or a milestone. Smaller camps and lodges in prime locations, often with more personal service, fine dining and extras such as private guiding or flying between parks.
Where you stay: High-end lodges and exclusive tented camps in the best wildlife areas.
Suits: Honeymoons, celebrations and travellers who want every detail looked after.

what shapes the price
Lodges and camps charge more in the busy dry season and over Christmas and New Year. Travelling in the green season can lower the cost noticeably.
A safari vehicle and guide cost the same whether one or several people travel, so the price per person drops as your group grows.
National park, conservation and crater fees are set by the Tanzanian authorities and charged per person and per day. They are a large part of any safari or climb, and they can change.
Accommodation is usually the biggest variable. The same route can cost very different amounts depending on the camps and lodges you choose.
More days mean more park fees and nights. Flying between parks saves time but adds cost, while driving is cheaper but takes longer.
