Overview

Four nights on Zanzibar is the simplest way to finish a safari or a Kilimanjaro climb, or to enjoy a short island break on its own. We meet you at the airport, take you to your beach hotel and leave the days to you, with meals and drinks covered on an all-inclusive basis.

Zanzibar is more than its beaches. There is Stone Town, with its markets, carved doors and long history of trade; spice farms in the green interior; Jozani Forest and its red colobus monkeys; and fishing villages where life follows the tide. Your specialist can book any of these as optional trips, before you arrive or once you are on the island.

The itinerary

Your driver meets you at Zanzibar's Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, or at the ferry terminal in Stone Town if you are crossing from Dar es Salaam, and takes you to your beach hotel. After check-in the afternoon is yours: a first swim in the Indian Ocean, a nap in the shade or a walk along the sand as the dhows come in. Dinner is at the hotel, where your all-inclusive stay begins.

Three free days to enjoy the island at your own pace. You might spend them entirely on the beach, snorkelling over the reef and reading under the palms. Or you could add a morning in Stone Town, a walk through a spice farm, a visit to Jozani Forest to see the red colobus monkeys, or a trip to a nearby village to meet the families who fish and farm seaweed along the coast. Your specialist can book these trips for you.

Enjoy a last breakfast and a final swim before check-out. Your driver collects you at a time that suits your flight and takes you to the airport, or to the ferry for Dar es Salaam. If you are flying home from the mainland, we suggest leaving Zanzibar in good time so a delay does not affect your international connection. Your specialist can also add extra nights if you would like to stay longer.
