The Seronera public campsites are a cluster of small TANAPA camps, among them Pimbi, Nyani, Tumbili, Dik Dik and Ngiri, in the Seronera River Valley at the centre of the Serengeti. This is classic budget safari camping: dome tents on open ground, shared cooking shelters for the crews, flush toilets and cold showers. The area is known for resident lions, leopards and elephants, and the camps are close to the Seronera airstrip and visitor centre.
