A forest lodge just outside Karatu, with chalets facing the Ngorongoro Conservation Area forest and about 20 km from the crater gate. Stone and timber chalets have fireplaces and private balconies, and much of the food comes from the lodge garden, down to the coffee and tea. You can hike to the Endoro waterfalls, watch forest birds from the pool terrace or visit Iraqw homesteads nearby. Tours use it for the night before or after the Ngorongoro Crater.
