where you stay
Panorama Safari Camp sits at about 1,240 metres on top of the Rift Valley escarpment, above Lake Manyara and the village of Mto wa Mbu, on the road up to Karatu and Ngorongoro. You can pitch your own tent, rent a permanent tent with proper beds, or sleep in one of the camp's African Igloos, beehive-shaped huts built from earth bags. The terrace looks out over the lake and the park below, and there is a bar and a restaurant.
