Arrow Glacier Camp

Arrow Glacier Camp is a stony high camp at about 4,900 metres in the alpine desert, directly below the Western Breach, the great gouge in the western wall of Kibo's crater. Only climbers taking the Western Breach sleep here, arriving from Lava Tower on the Lemosho, Shira, Machame or Umbwe routes. You leave early next morning for the steep scramble up the Breach, some 850 metres high, to the summit crater and Crater Camp.
